About the school

Transcorp Power Limited (TPL) Staff Schools is a mixed group of Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools owned by Transcorp Power Limited with the aim of improving staff welfare, by providing quality education for children of staff as well as host communities and its environs.

Transcorp Power Limited Staff Schools, Ekakpamre is positioned to prepare learners for self-actualization that adds value to them and the society at large.

It is a day school founded in the year 1995. It has grown from its small start of Nursery1 to primary 2 classes with only 5 teachers and one cleaner to a full-blown school comprising of Nursery, Primary and Secondary sections with a population of over one thousand learners with sixty teaching and non-teaching staff excluding domestic staff.

For over a decade now TPL Staff schools is a center for BECE, NECO & WAEC; the school wrote its first BECE in 2008, NECO in 2010, and WAEC in 2011

OBJECTIVES

To inculcate national consciousness and national unity irrespective of differences in religion, color, endowment, and ethnic and socio-economic background.
To promote permanent literacy, numeracy, and the ability to communicate effectively.
To provide opportunities for our students to develop life psychoactive skills that will enable them to function effectively in society.
To develop patriotic young people equipped to contribute to social development and the performance of their civic responsibilities.
To offer a diversified curriculum to cater to the differences in talents, dispositions, opportunities, and future roles.
To provide trained manpower in the applied sciences, technology, arts, and commerce at sub-professional grades.
To raise morally upright and well-adjusted individuals who can think independently and rationally, respect the views and feelings of others and appreciate the dignity of labour.
